Introduction/General
Fomes conchatus (Pers. Ex. Fr.,) Gill is a serious heart-rot fungus recorded for the first time in the Patriata forests and Murree Hills, 33°-34° N, 73°-74° E at elevation of 7,000 feet in Pakistan. It has been also noticed on Lonicera quinquelocularis Hardw., and Quercus spp.,.The nature of its damage is discussed and methods of control are suggested.
