The Teak (Tectona grandis) is considered to be a very resistant tree and to a great extent it is so. Mycological Institute which does not include any pathogene on Teak. It is however not immune under field conditions. Various diseases have been reported recently by Bagchee. The writer had the opportunity of visiting the Teak plantations of East Bengal during the month of January. The following is the short account of the diseases observed in the Hazarikhel and Kaptai areas.
