Abstract/Summary Introduction/General |
The most valuable forests of East Bengal are the Evergreen and Semi-Evergreen forests studding the hillsides in the districts of Chittagong and Chittagong Hills Tracts. These forests contain stands of forests which are perhaps the best in point of height and size in the whole of the subcontinent. The direct benefits of forests by supplying forest products for domestic and industrial uses are too well-known. Present paper considered the effect of Teak plantations on the soil in greater detail. |
