Abstract/Summary
Introduction/General
Pail Experimental Plot was selected to carry out an experiment which endeavours to improve grazing lands without evicting cattle. It is situated bout three miles to the west of village Pail in Khushab Tahsil of the Shahpur district and comprises the top portion of the catchment area of Chamal nala, a tributary of the Katha Kas, above the Pail-Nausherhra P.W.D. road. Its total area is 642 acres out of which 235 acres are under cultivation and the remaining 407 acres are gently sloping wasteland badly cut up by nalas.In pail experimental plot it is proposed to substitute planting of mesquite for sowing of other miscellaneous species.
